Priced as a bottle, valued like a gift. We forage, distil and pack every one by hand ourselves.
Named for a goblin you don't want to meet. A liqueur you do.
The Red Cap is a mythological Borders goblin with a taste for blood and a hatred of iron. The liqueur named for him has considerably better manners, but the same unmistakable character. Rich, fruity, and entirely itself.
A raspberry gin liqueur inspired by the Red Cap of Scottish legend, a malevolent creature said to stalk ruined castles and tower houses. Made at the Old Smiddy distillery beneath Stirling Castle and part of the Folklore Collection, a range that turns Scotland's most unsettling stories into drinks worth staying for.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Fresh raspberry, light floral, subtle sweetness
- Palate: Rich, fruity, well-balanced
- Finish: Smooth, clean raspberry fade
How to Serve
Chilled and neat as a digestif, or mixed with prosecco and a squeeze of lemon for a cocktail worth raising a glass to. Outstanding poured over vanilla ice cream.
