On-street spaces are limited. The city centre car parks are a few minutes away.

Good to know before you come
Do I need to book?
Booking guarantees your seats, and weekends fill up fast. If you are already in town, drop in for a walk-in mini tasting whenever we have space.
How long does a tasting last?
Around 60 relaxed minutes, seated with your guide.
Where do we park?
On-street parking is limited right outside. The city centre car parks are a few minutes' walk, and most guests pair us with a wander up to the castle.
I am driving, is there an option for me?
Yes. Choose a discounted Driver ticket at checkout. You get the full tour and the story, without the drams.
Can I bring children?
Under 18s are welcome to come along with an adult, but the tastings themselves are strictly 18 and over.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes. Well behaved dogs are always welcome at the Old Smiddy.
Is the distillery accessible?
