FAQs
Delivery & orders
How much is UK delivery?
Standard delivery is £3.95 (2–4 working days) and express is £5 (1–3 working days). Spend £60 or more and standard delivery is free.
When will my order arrive?
We aim to dispatch within 1 working day and you'll get a confirmation email when your order ships. Standard orders usually arrive within 2–4 working days; the Scottish Highlands can take a little longer.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Not yet — we currently ship within the UK only. If you're overseas, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. And yes, America — we're coming.
Can I collect my order from the distillery?
Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and collect free from the Old Smiddy, 9 Lower Castlehill, Stirling. Orders are usually ready within 24 hours — we'll email you when yours is.
Will I be asked for ID?
You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. ID may be requested on delivery or collection, so have it handy if you're lucky enough to look young.
Returns & refunds
What's your returns policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to return unopened bottles in their original packaging. Return postage is paid by you. Full details in our returns policy.
My order arrived damaged — what do I do?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo or video of the item and packaging, and we'll replace it or refund you in full, including postage.
Visiting the distillery
What are your opening hours?
Monday–Saturday 11am–5pm, Sunday 12–5pm. You'll find us at the Old Smiddy, 9 Lower Castlehill, Stirling FK8 1EN — right below Stirling Castle. Directions here.
Is there parking nearby?
Parking near the distillery is limited on-street, so give yourself a few extra minutes. We're a short walk up from Stirling city centre and its car parks — most visitors pair us with a wander to the castle.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes — we're dog friendly. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome.
Is the distillery wheelchair accessible?
Yes — we're fully accessible. If you have any specific requirements, call us on 01786 596496 before your visit and we'll make sure you're looked after.
Can I bring children?
Under-18s are welcome to come along on a tour with an adult, but tastings are strictly 18+ — no samples for the wee ones.
Tours & experiences
What's included in the tastings?
Our signature Gin Experience is around 90 minutes: six gins and liqueurs, the story of Stirling's first legal distillery, and a look inside the still room — from £34 per adult. The Whisky Experience travels Scotland's whisky regions in one sitting. See all experiences.
I'm the designated driver — do I need a full-price ticket?
No — discounted Driver tickets are available on our tastings. You get the tour and the story, minus the drams.
Do I need to book ahead?
Booking ahead guarantees your spot, especially at weekends. We also run walk-in mini tastings when space allows — just ask at the bar.
Can I gift a tour or experience?
Absolutely. We sell Tour & Tasting and Gin School gift vouchers, and flexible digital gift cards if you'd rather let them choose.
Gifts & gift cards
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes — digital gift cards from £10 to £100, delivered instantly by email and redeemable across the whole shop.
Can you add a gift note to my order?
Yes. Tick "Make it a gift" on the product page and we'll hand-write your message on a card and leave the price off the parcel.
Trade
I run a bar or shop — can I stock Stirling spirits?
