Why this matters
The first Stirling whisky in 170 years
Stirling last had a legal whisky distillery in 1852. For over 170 years, no whisky was made in the city.
On 27 November 2023, Stirling Distillery, Scotland's smallest whisky distillery, filled its first cask at the Old Smiddy at the foot of Stirling Castle.
The whisky is maturing now, projected for release in 2027. Owning a cask means owning a piece of that story, with a certificate and documentation to prove it.
