Limited Edition ‘OlympiGIN’ Gold Gin Launched
Stirling, Scotland – 26th July 2024 – Stirling Distillery have re-launched their limited edition gold gin in celebration of the Paris Olympics which kicks off today.
This specially created gold-flaked gin - made from Stirlingshire nettles and Japanese yuzu – named OlympiGIN has been expertly blended to create a winning combination spirit. The gin will be limited to just 100 bottles. Created in their historic distillery sitting below Stirling Castle, this elegant gin has been reimaged by lead gin distiller Chris Clark and is set to become another collector’s item.
After such an incredible response to the initial release of the gin in 2021, with former Olympians from Colin Jackson to Dame Kelly Holmes enjoying their bottles, the distillery wanted to re-release this craft gin to celebrate what is undoubtedly the greatest show on earth, and provide sport fans with a delicious way to celebrate an incredible summer of sport. Simply pour over ice with a premium tonic and enjoy the gold flakes as they glisten in your glass.
Stirling Distillery has strong links with the University where many of the athletes competing in Paris train. In 2021 gold medal-winning swimmer Kathleen Dawson MBE visited the distillery to show her medal to the team in exchange for a tour of the distillery and bottle of OlympiGIN, and Olympic curling champion Vicky Wright MBE popped into the distillery to collect a bottle and introduce baby Sophie to the family run business.
Located in the shadow of Stirling Castle, Stirling Distillery has been offering award-winning gin and whisky experiences since 2019. The distillery is renowned not only for its exquisite handcrafted spirits but also for its engaging tours, interactive experiences, and dedication to preserving the rich heritage of Scottish distilling.
