Scotland’s Smallest Whisky Distillery Raises a Glass to 154 Years of Scottish Football
Stirling Distillery marks Scotland’s return to the World Cup stage with a special limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky.
Stirling Distillery, Scotland’s smallest whisky distillery, has released a special limited-edition bottling ‘The Beautiful Game Edition’ Whisky to celebrate 154 years of Scottish football and Scotland’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. The bottling goes on sale today, available online at stirlingdistillery.com and directly from the distillery, located in the shadow of Stirling Castle. Please note, the bottle is available for pre-order and will be ready for collection and shipping the week commencing 25th May 2026.

The release is a Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky, smooth and well-balanced with bright citrus and Caribbean fruit, fresh green apple on the nose, and a clean, fruity finish. The liquid has been specially selected to complement the occasion: approachable, celebratory, and unmistakably Scottish.
The bottle has been designed by the distillery team and graphic designer Siobhan O’Neill and features the exclusive Silver Spirit tartan from House of Henderson, the Stirling-based kilt makers. The label charts Scotland’s World Cup appearances across the decades, from Switzerland in 1954 through to North America in 2026, serving as both a collector’s piece and a tribute to the supporters who have followed the national team through every chapter of the story.
“Scotland going to the World Cup is a moment worth marking properly. We wanted to create something that football fans and whisky lovers alike would be proud to have on their shelf, a bottle that tells the story of this country’s relationship with the beautiful game. The Silver Spirit tartan and Siobhan’s design give it a real sense of occasion, and the whisky itself is everything a celebration dram should be.”
