Founded by King David I in 1124, the Royal Burgh of Stirling is one of the oldest burghs in Scotland. 2024 marked its 900th anniversary, and the city has been celebrating the history and heritage of Stirling with an extensive cultural, arts and events programme over the past year. The 900th anniversary celebrations conclude at the end of March 2025.
Stirling Distillery - known for celebrating the history of the city through its product range - created their Stirling 900 whisky series to mark this special year for the city. The first two editions were sold in record time, with the first edition selling out on pre-release.
