Stirling Distillery launches exclusive behind-the-scenes Gin Journey

Stirling Distillery has launched a new premium visitor experience, the Gin Journey, offering guests rare behind-the-scenes access to the working warehouse where its award-winning gin is produced and its whisky quietly matures.

Designed for small groups of eight to ten guests, with a minimum of two people per booking, the experience takes visitors beyond the distillery itself and into the heart of the historic city of Stirling’s.

The journey begins at the distillery before guests travel by private taxi to the production warehouse, passing iconic landmarks including Stirling Bridge and Stirling Castle. Along the way, visitors hear the story of how the family-run distillery was founded and how it has grown into an award-winning producer.

With whisky production now fully underway at the original distillery site (a vital requirement for it to be proudly named Stirling whisky) that space is dedicated to distilling and creating new-make spirit. Gin production now takes place in a nearby warehouse just a short drive away, where visitors can see gin being crafted while also viewing the distillery’s growing collection of maturing whisky casks.

“Guests will see both the present and future of Stirling spirits, with gin being made today and whisky quietly maturing for tomorrow,” said Elle McCann, distillery experience manager at Stirling Distillery.

At the warehouse, guests meet distiller Chris Clarke and experience gin production up close before enjoying a guided tasting of Stirling Classic Gin, exploring its botanicals and perfect serve.

The experience concludes back at the distillery with a seated tasting of the wider Stirling range, including Gin Blue Line, Red Cap and Green Lady liqueurs as well as their Battle Strength , where the folklore, history and family stories behind each spirit are brought to life.

Each guest also receives 10% off 70cl and 50cl bottles purchased on the day from the distillery shop.

Strictly for over-18s, guests must arrive ten minutes before departure as transport forms an integral part of the experience.

With limited group sizes and select departures, the Gin Journey offers a unique opportunity to explore the craft, heritage and flavour behind Stirling’s spirits.
