The story
A lady-in-waiting who never left Stirling Castle.
The Green Lady is one of Scotland's most enduring ghost stories. She was a lady-in-waiting to Mary Queen of Scots, said to wander the castle halls to this day. This award-winning mint and bramble liqueur carries her story into every glass.
Made at the Old Smiddy distillery beneath the castle that inspired it. Part of the Folklore Collection, a range that turns Scotland's darkest legends into some of its most interesting drinks. The Green Lady has picked up awards for the fresh mint and wild bramble combination, and one sip explains why.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Fresh mint, wild bramble, gentle sweetness
- Palate: Bright, fruity, cool and refreshing
- Finish: Clean and long with a gentle mint fade
How to Serve
Over ice with lemonade, fresh mint, and a squeeze of lime. Outstanding in a bramble cocktail: equal parts Green Lady and gin, lemon juice, and a float of blackberry liqueur.
