Our own single malt won't be ready until 2027. But that doesn't mean there's no Stirling whisky to pour in the meantime. Sons of Scotland is our independent bottling range: exceptional single malts, hand-picked from distilleries across the country and bottled by our team here beneath Stirling Castle.
What is an independent bottling?
An independent bottler doesn't distil the whisky. Instead, we select outstanding individual casks from other Scottish distilleries, then bottle them under our own name. It's a long and respected tradition in Scotch, and it lets us share whiskies we're genuinely excited about while our own spirit quietly matures. Each Sons of Scotland release is chosen on character alone.
Single malts from across Scotland
The range travels the whisky map. Releases are drawn from different regions, the Highlands, Speyside, the Lowlands and the Islands, so each bottling has its own personality. A Highland malt might open with fresh orchard fruit and gentle spice, while a Speyside leans sweeter and richer. We name each whisky by the distillery it comes from, so you always know exactly what's in the glass.
Limited, numbered, and gone when they're gone
Because these are single-cask bottlings, quantities are tiny. A typical release might run to only a few hundred numbered bottles, and once a cask is emptied, that whisky is finished for good. Availability changes as casks come and go, so the range is always worth a look, and the bottle you're eyeing today may not be there next month.
Why we do it
Sons of Scotland is our way of celebrating the whisky heritage of the whole country while we build our own. It keeps a Stirling name on great Scotch, sharpens our eye for a special cask, and gives whisky lovers something rare to collect. When our own single malt arrives in 2027, it'll join a range we're already proud of.
