Now you can bottle your own whisky at Stirling Distillery, in the Old Smiddy on Castlehill, right below Stirling Castle. Fill a 50cl bottle at our fill station, write the label by hand, and carry home a bottle that nobody else has. Only here, in the building. You cannot buy it online.
What is Fill Your Own?
Fill Your Own is a new part of the visitor experience at Scotland's smallest whisky distillery. You fill your bottle yourself at our fill station with a blended whisky that we have enhanced with malts from independent bottlings. Then you write the label by hand with the bottle number, the date, and your own name. Every bottle is recorded in the distillery ledger, with the name of the person who filled it and the date. It is your bottle, filled by you, on the day you visited.

- Write your label by hand with your bottle number, the date, and your name.
- We record your bottle in the distillery ledger.
- Take it home. Bottles are £45.
The first release: the Chairman's Blend
The first Fill Your Own is the Chairman's Blend, a 50 litre blend created by our co founder Cameron McCann. It is made once and never again. When the last bottle has been filled, a completely different whisky will take its place, and like the Chairman's Blend it will only be available here at the distillery.

Whisky is back in Stirling
Fill Your Own arrives as our own whisky story gathers pace. In 2024 we brought whisky making back to Stirling after 170 years. Our head distiller Hugo McCann won Best Scottish New Make Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2025, and our first single malt, Cask One, is due for release in 2027.
One of the most visited attractions in Stirling since 2019. Twice named Stirling Visitor Attraction of the Year, most recently at the 2025 Stirling Business Awards. We hold a VisitScotland four star visitor attraction rating and an AA Gold Award, and we are currently ranked number 2 of things to do in Stirling on Tripadvisor.
