What is a gin liqueur?
A gin liqueur starts with gin, then adds fruit and a touch of sweetness, and comes in at a lower strength than a standard gin. Ours are bottled at 20% ABV, which makes them softer and more approachable, and far more flexible. You can sip a gin liqueur neat, lengthen it into a long drink, pour it over prosecco, stir it into a cocktail, or even trickle it over ice cream. It's the bottle that does a bit of everything.
Green Lady: mint and bramble
Named for the ghostly lady-in-waiting said to haunt Stirling Castle, our award-winning Green Lady Gin Liqueur is a blend of fresh mint and wild bramble.
- Nose: fresh mint, wild bramble, gentle sweetness
- Palate: bright, fruity, cool and refreshing
- Finish: clean and long, with a gentle mint fade
How to serve: over ice with lemonade, fresh mint and a squeeze of lime. It's also the secret weapon in a Stirling Bramble, drizzled over crushed ice for that bleeding-purple finish.
Red Cap: raspberry
Named for the murderous Borders goblin (the liqueur has better manners), Red Cap Gin Liqueur is built on bright, jammy raspberry.
- Nose: fresh raspberry, light floral, subtle sweetness
- Palate: rich, fruity, well balanced
- Finish: smooth, with a clean raspberry fade
How to serve: chilled and neat as a digestif, or mixed with prosecco and a squeeze of lemon for an easy aperitif. It's also outstanding poured over vanilla ice cream.
